Verizon Wireless
They are so goddamn smug. I thought their TV commercial - the one where they show the iPhone revolving and shining in all its glory, then cut to a guy (smugly) saying “Can you hear me now?” - was clever. Smug, but clever.
Their website is smug and just plain annoying. I didn’t realize the page right after I log in is actually just a huge ad that I can click past. The options on that page, by the way, are “Order iPhone 4” and “Continue to My Verizon.” So I continue on to My Verizon, and underneath a picture of my current crappy phone is… “Order iPhone 4”!
Okay I get the picture, but I don’t really want an iPhone 4 that much, especially from you, Verizon Wireless.
Edit: Brian tells me it’s actually “Yes, I can hear you now,” which is funnier! Should’ve checked my facts since I only saw that commercial once. Brian WOULD know this, though… ;)
